Televic Confedia G3 Wireless Delegate Discussion Unit
The Confidea Wireless Conference Access Point G3 is the heart of Televic's Wireless Confidea® system. For basic discussion and voting applications, the access point can be used in a stand - alone mode, acting as a central control unit.
Mini Unit - Maximum Performance Confidea® G3 is the third generation of Televic’s renowned wireless conference system. A single WCAP has a range of 30 m in “open field”. It boasts a Quad - Band system which operatesin the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz area of the RF spectrum and offers a large amount of possible operating frequencies in four different bands. But more importantly, the wide range of frequencies guarantee s rock - solid reliability . The access point has a built - in spectrum scanner that constantly monitors the 4 ban ds to detect interference sources and identify clean frequencies. A web browser gives the IT manager at a glance information on which frequencies are usable for audio conferencing and suggests which frequencies not to use. Because there is a lot of WiFi eq uipment already used in buildings, an IT manager wants to have a grip on the available frequencies. Therefore, the Confidea wireless system can block frequencies toensure co - existence with other RF systems. This way, the access point is able to automatica lly choose a ‘clean’ frequency resulting in a stable link.
Up & Running in Minutes The third generation Confidea WCAP is a true power horse that can act as a full central unit in a stand-alone configuration. It presents significant cost savings: for a wireless-onlyset-up no extra central unit is required. It also means that such a set-up is extremely easy. Even less technically savvy users can have the system fully up and running within just minutes. A host name suffices and Bonjour makes it easy to log in.
Three Layers of Security To prevent eavesdropping and unauthorized access, the Confidea system has three layers of security built in. First off, the entire system runs on a proprietary communication protocol.Secondly, the open-close door principle ensures that only initialized units can participate in meetings. Finally, the entire systems is secured with a 128 bit AES encryption, both on the audio and on the control. The combination ensures the confidentiality of your meeting and protects the privacy of your delegates at all times.
Browser-based Control on Any Device The new, more powerful built-in web server offers all necessary functionality for a basic set-up and is controlled through a regular browser (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari). As a result, no additional software is required for basic discussion applications representing yet another cost saving step. The web interface is entirely responsive by design: this means the software can be controlled from any device. A desktop or a tablet can be used to configure the Confidea WCAP. The browser acts as a central control hub. It allows you to create microphone groups and add name labels without any additional software: an absolutely unique feature. What’s more it provides a central microphone system. This allows you to activate microphones based on a name, grant the floor to microphones in request mode, and even close a microphone that was left on accidentally. All through a clear web interface, at the click of a mouse or a simple touch. Viewing the active frequencies and and monitoring individual battery levels is also possible via the browser. What’s more, facility managers can evens see the total amount of units available in the room at a glance. Finally, software updates are effortless and can be carried our right in the web interface.
Easy & Economical Integrations The audio inputs and outputs make it easy to connect the Confidea system to external systems. The audio connections allow an easy integration in any video/audio conferencing setup. The ‘external processing’ setting allows the integration of mixing or audio processing equipment. In this case, the mix-minus or N-1 setting prevents echoes caused by audio feedback from the far end. But also a less complex addition to the system, such as a handheld wired or wireless microphone, is a breeze using the input jack. Finally, adding cameras and switchersto a venue using the Confidea system is swift and easy. The freedom to choose any PTZ camera or switchers ensures peace of mind when it comes to integrations.
The Televic Sound The Confidea system has been engineered from scratch with speech intelligibility in mind. Because the objective of any conference system should be to bring participants closer together. And the human voice is the single most important element in this process. The superior sound of Televic’s Confidea is warmer in comparison with DSPdesigned systems and excels at speech intelligibility. It ensures every speaker and every idea is heard loud and clear.
CoCon Software Suite: A Wealth of Options In more advanced and complex installations, the Confidea system can be controlled via the fully compatible CoCon Control software. This opens up a wide range of functionalities that enrich the conference experience: delegate management, agenda management, synoptic view, room display, and complex voting management.
The range is extendable by adding additional access points and associated equipment.
